Bala Cynwyd

 

Bala Cynwyd or Bala as we call it is the first town in the Main Line just off of City Ave. Bala is about 10 min drive to Center City which is why it’s an attractive destination for transplants from the city. It also offers one and a half blocks of beauty salons, boutiques, delicatessens, and restaurants plus a playground, public library, and Septa Regional Rail R5 train stop. The biggest attraction is the two-mile Cynwyd Heritage Trail which is a multi-use trail and open space running which starts at the Cynwyd Station to Manayunk Viaduct and on to Belmont Avenue. Bala real estate offers many colonial-style homes as well as split-level homes as well as some mid-century modern. Small Tudor row houses are also available.
